The Campesino Warehouse, an achievement of our organized communities
Peasant families have always produced, exchanged and sold. We produce for our consumption and to trade with neighbors, tourists and other communities. We organize and participate in fairs, locally, provincially and nationally.
Thanks to the joint work with Institutions such as the National Institute of Agricultural Technology and the Secretariat of Peasant and Indigenous Family Agriculture, we have been improving our production, training ourselves in organization and in different marketing strategies.
When the Municipal Market of Termas de Río Hondo was rebuilt and thanks to the support of the Municipality of Termas de Río Hondo, we fulfilled a dream: to have a collective point of sale. Thus, on April 4, 2016, El Almacén Campesino was born.
Participation in previous local, provincial and national fairs was essential to strengthen the fairground profile of families and prepare them for this new challenge. Contact with the organizations was made through INTA and the Undersecretary of Family Agriculture, and together they worked on the planning and organization of the project.
It began to take shape with several meetings where they defined: who would participate, what products they would have to offer, how the place would be served and what furniture each organization had. In addition, the name of the venture and the date of its inauguration were chosen.
On April 4, 2016, El Almacén Campesino opened its doors offering a wide variety of fresh and quality products at affordable prices, providing an option for those who seek to consume healthy food and support local producers.

Fair trade and farmer
Each product in the store represents our knowledge, our way of doing things. In each craft, in each food, you are carrying a bit of our history.
The Warehouse is a second degree organization, all decisions are made autonomously, in assemblies of representatives.
All our production depends on the raw materials that the field gives us in each season. The replacement of food and handicrafts also depends on the workflow of each family. In the Warehouse the products are always new.
Both national and foreign tourists who visit the Warehouse, as well as residents of the city of Termas and the entire province, we always wait for you with open arms, offering a fair and convenient price.
